Poems by Previous Startpointers

The Reformed Church was represented by many different countries during that year's Csillagpont. The poems written by the foreign starpointers show how they felt about the festival:

A Rhyming Poem about Starpoint

I.

Holy Spirit has been cast.
Under the storm, tents hold fast.
Nations here from far and near,
Grace abounds, Oh how dear,
About God, worship sounds,
Reformed church here is found.
Yes, now take up the charge and sound.

II.

Coming here will change your life
Sharing the love of God
In pure joy.
Living together every day
Learning the treasures of the cultures
Always singing, dancing, chatting, smiling –
God has blessed us with new friends.
Pouring rain hasn’t stopped our fun
On the contrary, it’s brought us together.
No more isolated people –
Touches as our souvenir.

III:

Arriving in a plane,
straight into the rain
we became insane.

A happy time we had,
with many people we met
although we got wet.

We will miss the place,
we’ve been touched by grace.
We have seen Jesus’ face.

IV:

See how rainy a day it is,
It comes down to us like the mercy of God,
He is just like the sunshine behind the clouds.
We will meet Him when we bow down, searching for Him,
And He just opens our eyes to see the light of Glory.
Because of our arrogance, we start to build Babel towers,
and we collapse, divided from many languages.
Fortunately, we have God’s love.
So we gather again from different countries,
diverse cultures and all kinds of languages,
Lifting our hands to praise God & His Son.
